We are a group of people passionate about Forró and the culture of Northeast of Brazil. Forró is a Brazilian dance and music style from the northeast of Brazil. We meet weekly to learn about the tradition of Forró through lessons of dance and music in Rotterdam.
Forró Rotterdam is an initiative of Ivy Lemos.
Ivy Lemos is Brazilian / Dutch musician, natural of Castanhal – Pará Brazil. She grew up in Belém and lived in many different places in Brazil. She is passionate about languages and cultures, specially Brazilian culture and of course passionate about Forró. Ivy is graduated in Latin Music at the Conservatorium of Rotterdam – Codarts.
